Le'Ecia Farmer (she/her) is a Black, queer multidisciplinary artist and apparel designer based in Seattle, WA. Known for her innovative techniques and use of materials, Le'Ecia often centers her work on the concept of ancestral technology.

Le'Ecia defines ancestral technology as traditional methods that are inherently sustainable. Ancestral technologies typically precede industrialization but have applications and functions within our current overproduction crises. With an emphasis on new and / or electronic technological solutions, ancestral technologies are often left out of sustainability conversations. Le'Ecia aims to center ancestral technology in her work and research. 

Through her clothing brand, FARMER , Le'Ecia offers experimental, well-crafted designs produced in small batches.
